Developer LPC Living has bought a 0.4-acre plot in Hackney, E8 for a £15m mixed-use scheme.
The Manchester-based firm will begin work on the 60,000 sq ft building this summer.
It will comprise a 72-bedroom hotel, a 58-bed student accommodation scheme, and 6,975 sq ft for shops. Completion is expected in mid-2013.
LPC purchased the Amhurst Road site for £3m from a Gibraltar-based investment company.
The vendor was advised by Kingsbury; the purchaser was unrepresented.
