Administrators to Harold Tillman’s collapsed retail group Aquascutum are shutting down the manufacturing plant in Corby, Northamptonshire.
The retailer’s three high street stores at Westfield (White City), W12, Canary Wharf, E14, and in Windsor, Berkshire, along with 16 concessions, seven outlet stores and 11 international concessions are all continuing to operate as usual.
FRP Advisory was appointed administrator to Aquascutum on Tuesday.
FRP said: “We have conducted a detailed review of the company’s financial position. Regrettably, it has been concluded that the company’s manufacturing plant in Corby is not viable to continue to trade due to loss-making operations and a lack of funding.
“We have received a high level of interest from potential purchasers from around the world, with our focus now upon progressing discussions for a sale of the Aquascutum brand and assets.”
