Countryside and Catalyst win Slough scheme

Countryside Properties and Catalyst Housing have been selected by Slough council as the preferred bidder to progress the Britwell regeneration project in Slough, Berkshire.

The project includes two sites within the Britwell estate providing a total of 255 homes – 154 for private sale, 54 for shared ownership and 47 for social rent. It will also comprise 15,000 sq ft of shops.

More than 90% of the homes will be two-, three- and four-bedroom houses in addition to one- and two-bedroom flats in small three-storey buildings, each with nine homes.

The homes will be tenure-blind.

Deputy chairman of Countryside Properties, Richard Cherry, said: “The selection of our partnership team with Catalyst Housing is a significant step in a process that started in April last year, and that could be expected to see us start on site in early 2013, leading to completion currently scheduled for late 2016.”
