Gerald Ronson’s Heron International has secured its highest rent yet at the Heron Tower, EC2.
The 715ft tower was this week close to securing investment manager Avoca Capital as a new tenant at a rent of around £70 per sq ft. Avoca will take 6,000 sq ft on the 25th floor.
Around one-third of the 460,000 sq ft tower is now let.
Law firm McDermott Will & Emery prelet 25,000 sq ft at £55 per sq ft and subsequent deals have been in the low £60s per sq ft. Other tenants include Lithuanian bank Snoras and serviced office provider Landmark.
Elsewhere in the City, Allied London and Aerium have let the 40,000 sq ft 20 Cannon Street, EC4, to executive headhunter Odgers Berndtson for around £50 per sq ft.
The building will become the group’s new headquarters when it consolidates from a number of other offices in the West End and City.
Savills and CBRE are letting agents on the Heron Tower; Jones Lang LaSalle and Montagu Evans advised Allied/Aerium; Wright & Partners acted for Odgers.
