Stuart Houlston, property director of Clinton Cards, is the only director administrator Zolfo Cooper has retained at the collapsed retailer.
The departure of the majority of the board could leave them free to make a bid to buy the company out of administration, some analysts speculated although others said the management would be unlikely to mount a bid.
