YO! Sushi plans to double the size of its UK portfolio by 2017. The sushi chain will have 67 restaurants in the UK by the end of this year and is aiming for 150 within five years.
Sought-after locations include Canary Wharf, Covent Garden, Richmond, Kingston and Bicester Village in Oxfordshire.
Internationally, YO! Sushi has 12 franchised restaurants in Lisbon, Dublin, Norway, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Dubai. It will open its first outlet in the US next month.
Chief executive Robin Rowland said he believed the company could expand its eight-strong portfolio in the Middle East to around 20 restaurants over the medium term.
