Henderson Global Investors’ director of property and head of balanced funds, Andrew Creighton, is to join Aberdeen Asset Management at the end of September as managing director of UK property fund management, replacing John O’Connor, who is retiring.

At Henderson, which he joined in 2000, Creighton’s responsibilities included the management of the company’s French property business as well as fund management, oversight of the UK and international segregated client relationships and the management and development of the company’s range of pooled property funds.

O’Connor will retire at the end of June having been with the company for 40 years.
