AIG Europe signs big in Croydon

Insurance broker AIG Europe has signed for one of the largest Croydon deals in recent times, taking 22,000 sq ft at Norfolk House.


The firm has agreed a 10-year lease with a five-year break option. It is paying £12 per sq ft, and relocating from Norwich Union House, 96 George Street, where it occupied a similar amount of space.


Agents claim it is one of the largest deals in the area since Zurich signed to moved to Croydon from Sutton in 2010, taking circa 20,000 sq ft.


Landlord F&C REIT was advised by Hanover Green, Savills and Stiles Harold Williams. The tenant was unrepresented.
