The rapidly growing social-media company behind the Moshi Monsters children’s brand has gone under offer for a new HQ.
Mind Candy is to take 30,000 sq ft at 15 Bonhill Street, EC2.
The company, dubbed Facebook for children, will sign a 10-year lease, paying landlord Resolution Property around £35 per sq ft.
As part of the agreement, the firm has an option to expand to 70,000 sq ft within the next four years, as leases expire at the 110,000 sq ft building.
Estates Gazette revealed earlier this year that Mind Candy was planning to more than double its office space in London as part of its rapid expansion (31 March, p25). The firm, launched in 2003, is valued at more than £126m.
Mind Candy is currently based in 16,000 sq ft at Derwent London’s Tea Building in Shoreditch, E1. It took the space less than two years ago.
Hatton Real Estate is advising Mind Candy; Allsop is acting for Resolution.
