Fund manager Highcross has let 456,000 sq ft of industrial space to B&M Retail in Merseyside on a three-year lease.
It is understood that the retailer will pay a rent of £1.50 per sq ft for The Big Rack distribution unit at Deacon Park in Knowsley.
Highcross has also let 213,000 sq ft to Davis Haulage at its Crewe 213 unit at the Crewe Gates Industrial Estate on a ten-year lease for £3.45 per sq ft.
The deals follow the firm’s recent letting of its 405,000 sq ft Phoenix unit in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, to Jaguar Land Rover for ten years for £3.75 per sq ft.
Richard Pellatt, director of Highcross, said: “The lettings to B&M Retail and Jaguar Land Rover are by far the largest deals in the North West this year, and with availability of major distribution/industrial units now much reduced in the region, we expect to see further occupational interest in tenant-led design-and-build opportunities, like our Orion Park scheme in Crewe.”
