GM raids JLL and CBRE for City stars

Tony Gibbon’s and Tony McCurley’s GM Real Estate has poached two City leasing agents from rivals CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle.

It has hired CBRE executive director Dan Roberts and JLL regional director Sam Boreham.

The pair, who between them have 13 years’ experience in City leasing, will join GM as partners alongside Gibbon, McCurley, Neal Scambler, Thurstan Guthrie-Brown and Rupert Williams.

The two men both advise Canary Wharf Group. Roberts is also leasing agent on the Heron Tower and Boreham is letting agent on Land Securities’ New Ludgate scheme.

The appointments follow a raft of high-profile City moves, including Digby Flower and Andrew Parker, who left CBRE for Cushman & Wakefield earlier this year, and Chris Vydra, who was poached by CBRE from Knight Frank.

JLL and CBRE declined to comment.
