Prinknash Abbey, in the Cotswolds, has opposed a planning application for an extension to a neighbouring wildlife centre.
The ancient brotherhood of monks says the proposal for a visitor centre and animal welfare building at Prinknash Bird and Deer Park near Stroud, Gloucestershire, would shatter the tranquillity needed for “spiritual refreshment”. The applicant said the attraction could face closure if the plans were rejected.
