Its plan comprises 1,500 homes for university and college employees, 1,500 homes for private sale, accommodation for 2,000 students, 1m sq ft of research facilities and a range of community facilities on a 371-acre site.

Phase one will include around 530 homes for university staff, 426 homes for sale, accommodation for 300 students and a local centre. Residential and commercial development partners are being sought.
