Former Drivers Jonas Deloitte managing partner Nick Shepherd has been appointed a vice chairman of Deloitte.
Shepherd stepped down as head of DJD at the beginning of the year, after more than a decade at the helm.
With Richard Owen taking over at the top, Shepherd returned to a client-facing role, focusing on investor and developer clients and on “capturing more of the opportunities that arise from the Deloitte environment”.
Shepherd is currently leading the firm’s advice to iCITY London Ltd, the preferred bidder for the 1.2m sq ft Broadcast Centre and Press Centre buildings at the Olympic Park.
Deloitte’s vice chairmen are the firm’s more senior partners. Shepherd said: “It is a real honour to be asked by [chief executive] David Sproul to take on this new role, which recognises the importance Deloitte places on the firm’s real estate business.”
