Cheyne Capital Management is building up its real estate debt team with the addition of Arron Taggart as loan originator.
Taggart joins from Clydesdale Bank, where he was lead regional property specialist for London and the South and was responsible for putting together complex transactions for real estate investment and development.
Alternative asset manager Cheyne Capital’s real estate debt team is headed by Shamez Alibhai and Ravi Stickney.
Alibhai said: “Arron’s significant experience across the real estate sector will help us to develop our loan origination strategy in the UK and northern Europe. He will be a great asset to the team as we continue to develop our real estate debt activities and take advantage of the investment opportunity arising from the dislocation in the financing markets.”
Cheyne Capital’s debt team specialises in European real estate bonds and loans, and has US$1.4bn of assets under management.
