The government has given Land Securities the green light for its £430m mixed-use development on the former Kodak site in Harrow.
The commercial property focused REIT was granted permission last night by Boris Johnson and home secretary Theresa May to start work on a mixed-use development on the 60-acre site, which will comprise 985 homes, plus industrial units, retail and community facilities.
The project will feature £35m of affordable housing, to be developed over a 10 to 12-year period.
LandSec and photographic equipment manufacturer Kodak struck a joint venture agreement to redevelop the site in 2008. The site had been home to Kodak for 120 years.
