Redrow gets Chorley go-ahead

Redrow Homes has secured outline planning permission for 135 new homes in Chorley, Lancashire.

The permission is for a mix of two- and three-bedroom mews houses and three- and four-bedroom detached homes to the north of Chorley.

Over the past 12 months Redrow Homes, advised by Turley Associates, has secured planning permission at appeal for 96 homes at Whitehills close to Blackpool, and consent for the first phase of 500 new homes at Summerhill Park in the Broadgreen district of Liverpool.

Robin Buckley, senior planning manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “The development will enable us to deliver high-quality family homes in Whittle-le-Woods as an extension to the adjacent popular scheme that Redrow developed in the 1990s.”

“We are currently preparing detailed proposals that relate sensitively to the existing trees and natural features of the site and hope to commence building within 12 months.”
