Leisure agent Jeremy Simmons has vowed to pursue tycoon Bakir Cola over an alleged unpaid fee.
Simmons, who secured the restaurant tenants for the Shard, claims to be owed tens of thousands of pounds by the owner of the five-star Westbury hotel in Mayfair, W1, in relation to work he undertook to find an operator for a new club and restaurant.
His lawyers, Davenport Lyons, filed a notice of intention to make a claim to the Cola Group this week.
Cola Group denies Simmons is owed any money.
Simmons claims that he was instructed in May to find a tenant for the ground and basement floors of the adjacent Washington House.
He says he received offers from occupiers including nightclub entrepreneurs Mark Alexiou and Mark Culter and New York-based businesses One Group and Bagatelle, but that all of them were declined by Cola.
However, last month Simmons claims he received a phone call from Cutler confirming he had agreed a deal at the Westbury.
Simmons said: “There is absolutely no reason I should not be paid for work done and I will ensure I get the fee.”
