Demand rises for Manchester offices

Take-up of Manchester city centre offices has risen by 10% year-on-year so far in 2012, according to the latest figures from the Manchester Office Agents Forum.


A total of 490,954 sq ft was let during the first three quarters of this year.


Overall availability in the city centre fell from 904,074 sq ft in 2011 to 895,134 sq ft.


The average deal size rose from 2,811 sq ft in 2011 to 3,465 sq ft in 2012.


Average deal size for grade A space was almost 4,000 sq ft – a rise of 40% on 2011 but close to half the size of the average deal recorded in 2010.
