Employment tribunal picks Bruntwood

Bruntwood has secured HM Courts and Tribunals Service for its Centre City office tower close to Birmingham’s New Street station.

The court has taken 30,000 sq ft across four floors to house its employment tribunal in Birmingham. A 10-year lease has been agreed, at a rent of circa £12-£14 per sq ft. The deal marks the largest letting in the city centre so far this year.

The new tenant will move to the 209,000 sq ft building early next year from offices at Phoenix House on Newhall Street.

Bruntwood acquired the 21-storey Centre City in November last year for £22m – a 12% yield.

CBRE and Knight Frank advised Bruntwood; GVA acted for the tenant.
