Bouygues Development has been selected as the preferred bidder for the regeneration of Addlestone town centre in Surrey.
Runnymede council said there were no financial or size details of plans yet, but the redevelopment of Station Road would take place over two phases and comprise flats, shops and restaurants.
Subject to planning permission, work on site will begin in early 2014.
Nicolas Guerin, managing director of Bouygues Development, said: “There is a genuine lifetime opportunity to create something special in the heart of the town and we believe that time is now.”
