Winchester residents have revolted against a celebrity chef’s plans for a canteen and delicatessen in a former mill.
They opposed River Cottage chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s plans to open in the Grade II-listed Abbey Mill, which was built around 1750. River Cottage has already signed a lease with the council with a view to opening next autumn.
