Derwent Holdings has given GVA an enhanced retail mandate after seeing a 67% footfall rise at a Manchester retail park.
The agent has been given responsibility to market a further seven retail parks totalling 1m sq ft within Derwent’s UK portfolio following an instruction earlier this year at The Ellesmere Shopping Centre in Walkden, Greater Manchester.
Footfall at the Ellesmere mall has since increased by 67% in the past year to more than 140,000 visitors per week.
Derwent managing director David Lyons said: “We have been impressed with GVA’s work and vision for The Ellesmere Centre.
“Appointing them to market schemes across the North will provide a joined-up and collaborative approach across the Derwent portfolio.”
The enhanced responsibility covers the White City Retail Park, Manchester; Alban Retail Park, Warrington; Bidston Moss Retail Park, Wallasey; Kilner Way Retail Park, Sheffield; Anlaby Retail Park, Hull; Montrose Retail Park on Edge Lane, Liverpool; and Ellesmere Centre Phase 3 in Walkden.
