SEGRO and Aviva Investors have leased an 81,000 sq ft shed at Heathrow Cargo Centre to DHL Aviation UK.
DHL Aviation is an existing customer of SEGRO’s and Aviva’s Airport Property Partnership as it already occupying 100,000 sq ft at the cargo centre.
The Heathrow Cargo Centre, also known as The Horseshoe, provides cargo transit units with direct airside access.
APP director and SEGRO business unit director for Greater London Alan Holland said: “This is a significant airside deal for APP, and we are very pleased to have been able to work closely with our existing and important customer, DHL, on meeting their new requirement.
“This agreement is an important investment in our airside space, and illustrates the continued market demand for APP’s strategically well located industrial assets.”
DHL hubs and gateways managing director Danny Pedri said: “The Horseshoe at Heathrow provides us with an ideally located cargo transit unit and direct airside access, which is essential for our aviation business.
“In order to accommodate our growing market share, we’ve been pleased to work closely with the APP team to meet our requirement for expansion at Heathrow.”
