Former Drivers Jonas managing partner Nick Shepherd is retiring from Deloitte at the end of May.
Shepherd, who was appointed a vice-chairman of Deloitte in September, plans to develop a career as an independent adviser, seeking to grow a portfolio of non-executive director, trustee and advisory roles. He will continue to work with Deloitte as a consultant from 1 June to look after specific clients including iCity, Christ’s Hospital and The Skinners Company.
Shepherd stepped down as head of DJD at the beginning of the year, after more than a decade at the helm. He was succeeded by Richard Owen who will become managing director of the business following its rebrand on 21 January. The new division will drop the Drivers Jonas name, and will trade as Deloitte Real Estate. It will be led by senior partner and tax specialist Andy Rothery.
Shepherd described his 29 years at Drivers Jonas and Deloitte as “challenging and fulfilling”.
