Coke completes West End move

Coca-Cola has completed a deal to take 61,000 sq ft at CBRE’s old offices on Wimpole Street, W1.

The company is moving to the West End from Hammersmith where it has been based for 20 years.

Coca-Cola has agreed a 15-year lease in an area where rents are typically more than £70 per sq ft.

Fixed rental increases are understood to have been agreed with landlord Royal London Asset Management.

Wigmore Street will become the Coca-Cola Company’s main UK office.

It is likely to take occupation early in 2014.

CBRE was appointed to advise the drinks company on a move in December 2011.

It will now advise on options for its existing space at 1 Queen Caroline Street, W6, which could include subletting or a sale.

CBRE and Strutt & Parker advised RLAM.
