Mount Anvil brings in Fenton to forge growth

Central London property developer Mount Anvil has appointed a new chief executive to deliver its growth ambitions.

Former Barratt divisional chief Clive Fenton took up the position on 2 January.

He replaces Mount Anvil co-founder Killian Hurley, who becomes executive chairman.

Hurley said that Fenton’s focus would be on broadening the company’s capital base to secure further growth.

The firm has a development pipeline of 1,300 homes and 191,600 sq ft of commercial space. It delivered 500 homes in 2012.

Fenton left housebuilder Barratt in July, where he led operations across London, the South East and the South West. He joined the group in 1983 and worked in several roles, including creating and running the west London division, before being appointed to the group board in 2003.
