Land Securities has unveiled images for Buchanan Gardens, the residential element of its £70m mixed-use Buchanan Street development in Glasgow’s prime retail pitch.
Plans include 49 one- two- and three-bedroom flats with private terraces overlooking Buchanan Street. Buchanan Gardens also includes a sky garden, residents’ gym and executive lounge.
LandSec is being advised on the residential element by Savills.
The Buchanan Quarter will transform a previously blighted site at the top of Glasgow’s iconic Buchanan Street and forms part of the £80m TIF proposals for that area of the city centre.
The 130,000 sq ft retail element comprises nine shops, which have been prelet to US fashion giant Forever 21, which will launch its first Scottish store in the development, Gap, Paperchase, Watches of Switzerland, Fat Face, Skechers and Office.
Work on the development is under way.
The flats are expected to be launched in April, with completion in the autumn.
The retail element is scheduled to open in March.
