St Modwen consults on Uttoxeter plan

St Modwen has launched a public consultation on its plans for a residential-led urban extension in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

As many as 700 new homes, alongside 25 acres of employment space, a local retail centre, recreational facilities, school and open green space, are proposed for the former agricultural land which lies between the A50 and Bramshall Road, adjoining Uttoxeter’s existing residential area and close to the town centre.

St Modwen’s plans also include improved road access to the site by upgrading the existing junction and providing a link road through the site.

The proposed site has been earmarked for development for a number of years and is designated by East Staffordshire council as a site for a mixed-use scheme.

The proposed development will be a natural extension to the existing urban area on the western fringe of Uttoxeter.

St Modwen will refine its proposals over the next few weeks following the public consultation.
