LaSalle Investment Management’s global COO of 31 years, Kim Woodrow, is to retire at the end of the year, to be replaced by industry veteran Elisabeth Stheeman.
Stheeman will join LaSalle next month, be London-based and work with Woodrow to manage the transition through the end of the year.
Jeff Jacobson, LaSalle global CEO, said: “Kim is part of the LaSalle family and always will be, and I know his commitment to the future of this firm will hugely benefit the transition process. It’s difficult for me to express adequate thanks for so many years of dedicated service.
“Kim is part of the group of leaders who helped shape LaSalle over the last 20+ years with their vision, strong values and commitment. Combined with the energy, perspective and skills of Elisabeth and others who have joined us more recently, we will continue to bring a unique depth of focus and competitive investment performance to our clients. Elisabeth shares this client-centric approach and will add enormous value and insight as we work toward achieving our ambitious goals for growth.”
Stheeman has more than 20 years of operating experience in a global institution. She is a veteran of Morgan Stanley in London, where she most recently held the position of COO in its investment banking division focused on real estate and natural resources.
Since joining Morgan Stanley in 1988, Stheeman has held a number of key roles including COO of real estate Investing within MSREF, and also worked in a COO capacity for the organisation’s financial institutions group.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, Stheeman was at Vereins und Westbank in Hamburg, Germany. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics where she earned her diploma of Business Studies, and Wirtschaftsakademie Hamburg where she earned her bachelor in business administration.
