Hermes and PRUPIM have pulled plans for a £40m extension to thecentre:mk following a raft of objections from locals.
The 90,000 sq ft extension, which involved the relocation of Secklow Gate market to elsewhere within the 1.3m sq ft scheme, was to be anchored by Primark.
It was due to go before planners on 21 February but had been recommended for refusal.
Turley Associates, which is advising on the project, said the plans had been withdrawn to “reassess the proposals in light of the issues raised”.
