St Mods/Dyson aim to clean up in Stoke

St Modwen and UK technology company Dyson have submitted plans to Stoke-on-Trent city council for the £20m, residential-led redevelopment of a former manufacturing facility at Hartshill.

The planning application has been submitted jointly by the regeneration specialist and site owner, Dyson Industries.

The outline plans are for an 11.25-acre site fronting Shelton New Road that was formerly used by Dyson. Plans include 111 homes alongside a local centre providing a convenience store, a parade of four small shops and a public house and restaurant.

A decision by the council is expected within the next three months, with work on site scheduled for 2014.

The site is likely be offered for sale later this year.
