St James Group, part of Tony Pidgley’s Berkeley Group, has won consent for a revamp of its £350m Chambers Wharf scheme in Southwark, SE16.
Southwark council this week approved St James’s proposal for the 587-home scheme, which alters a previous permission from October 2010.
St James will now provide most of the 180 affordable homes at 65% market rent.
St James bought the 3.6-acre site for around £40m in early 2011 from St Martins.
