Entra Eiendom to develop Oslo Statoil HQ

Norwegian property company Entra Eiendom is to develop an energy-efficient office building in Oslo which has been prelet to Statoil Fuel & Retail for its European head office.

Entra has commissioned NCC’s construction arm to build the scheme in a SKr370m (€44.5m) contract.

The property at Schweigaards gate 16 in central Oslo was bought for NKr190m (€25.5m) following an open bidding process.

Statoil Fuel & Retail entered into a long-term lease contract with occupation planned for the first half of 2015.

The building will have 11,469 m² of usable floor space on eight floors and there will be two floors below ground. Total lettable space is approximately 15,300 m².

A BREEAM excellent certificate is being sought.

The property is located at Teaterplassen, a few minutes’ walk from Oslo Central Station. Entra owns several properties in the area, including Schweigaards gate 15 B, Biskop Gunnerus gate 14 and the Sundt quarter.

Statoil Fuel & Retail AS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian company Alimentation Couche-Tard, which operates a network of around 2,300 fuel and service stations in Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Poland and Russia and will also have its European head office in the building.
