Particle physicist, TV presenter and former pop star Proffessor Brian Cox was the headline guest speaker on the Manchester stand at MIPIM yesterday.
The Professor, who lectures at Manchester University spoke of the importance of science in the UK’s economy and how the right buildings are essential to assist researchers.
He used the new graphene research centre in the city as an example where researchers and industrialists will work together in the same building.
He said: “The future of the UK is in knowledge based industry and we have to use these resources.”
