A Victorian cave at the bottom of a garden will be sold on behalf of a private seller by Savills Nottingham on 21 March at Nottingham Racecourse.
The cave, set within a sandstone escarpment, is being offered as part of a lot comprising a three-bedroom home at 20 Fishpond Drive in Nottingham’s historic Park Estate.
Guided at £300,000-£350,000, the cave has a front door, windows and a fireplace. Inside, there is a large central room, as well as a number of smaller side rooms, said Savills Nottingham auctioneer Bob Crocker.
He added: “It is very unusual. This one was built by the Victorians, who used to hold dinner parties in it.”
