Croatian seaside resort for sale

MIPIM: Austria’s Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International is to sell the Le Méridien Lav Hotel and the adjoining resort and marina in Croatia.
The facility, which occupies 4.4ha, is billed as one of Croatia’s finest freehold hotel and resort investment opportunities.
Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International is the sole shareholder of the companies that own the property, Grand Hotel Lav and Grand Marina Lav, and has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels & Hospitality Group exclusively to sell the companies.
Le Meridien Lav Hotel and Resort has a beachfront position on the Adriatic coast and was refurbished in 2006. It has 381 rooms, a private marina, retail units, a casino, nightclub, tennis courts, spa and swimming pool.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide operates the hotel under a management contract.
Daniel Pugh, vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels & Hospitality, said that in 2012 tourist arrivals in Split increased 8.9% on 2011 with further growth expected in 2013.
