Lend Lease has been recommended as development partner for the 400,000 sq ft North Street regeneration in Guildford town centre, seeing off competition from Land Securities and Queensberry Real Estate.
Guildford borough council will make a final decision on 18 April.
Guildford councillor James Palmer, lead councillor for town centre planning and transport, said: “We received high-quality, detailed bids from the shortlisted developers. All three demonstrate an innovative approach to the future of this key town centre site. We are particularly impressed by the enthusiasm and understanding for this project shown by Lend Lease.”
