Google boost in agent league table

Loma top 5 agents Q1 2013 x570

Savills has leapfrogged to the top of the central London agents’ league table in the latest EGi London Offices market analysis.

Boosted by advising on Google’s 860,000 sq ft deal at King’s Cross Central, the agent moved up from fifth place in Q1 2012 to top the table in the first quarter of 2013.

It advised on almost 1.1m sq ft of disposals during the period, taking more than a third of the London market.

DTZ took second place in the league table, also aided by the Google deal. It was joint agent with Savills at King’s Cross.

Stripping out the largest deal of the year, the top of the table would be very different, however. DTZ would have slipped from a 14% market share secured at the end of 2012 to just 4% at the end of Q1 2013. Savills would have managed to move only one place up the rankings to fourth.

CBRE and Knight Frank took third and fourth in the table, helped by two lettings at Land Securities’ and Canary Wharf Group’s Walkie Talkie at 20 Fenchurch Street, EC3.
