Samsung SRA Asset Management has bought 30 Crown Place, EC2, from Hannover Leasing for £142m.
The 192,070 sq ft building is let primarily to law firm Pinsent Masons.
It is the first acquisition for Samsung SRA overseas.
David Rendall, European chief executive of Cushman & Wakefield Investors, which advised Samsung, said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured such an attractive opportunity in an off-market transaction. The property offers secure income and excellent prospects from a further strengthening of the location in the medium term.”
Hannover Leasing will continue as asset manager on the building.
Samsung SRA is a real estate fund manager focused on core and core-plus commercial real estate in Korea and overseas. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Life Insurance, which co-invests in SRA’s funds.
Cushman & Wakefield Investors advised Samsung on the purchase; Canadian firm Avison Young and Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Hannover Leasing.
