Hugo Boss fashions Glasgow opening

Hugo Boss is to open a new flagship store in the former General Post Office building on Ingram Street in Glasgow.

Henderson Global Investors has agreed a deal with Hugo Boss that will see the retailer take the former All Saints store and a vacant unit behind it at the GPO building on South Frederick Street totalling just under 8,000 sq ft.

A 10-year lease has been agreed at an undisclosed rent. Zone A rents on Ingram Street are around £75-£90 per sq ft.

The newly enlarged store will open this summer. The retailer will also retain its smaller store in Glasgow’s Buchanan Street.

Hugo Boss joins existing luxury brands on Ingram Street including Mulberry, Agent Provocateur, Liam Gallagher’s Pretty Green and designer clothing store, Cruise.

Meanwhile, Ralph Lauren recently agreed a lease extension until August 2022 on its store at the former GPO Building, which is the brand’s only stand-alone store outside London.

Cushman & Wakefield advised Henderson and Hugo Boss. Harper Dennis Hobbs acted for Ralph Lauren.
