Dixons benefits from Comet’s demise

High street retailer Dixons saw sales rise 13% in the three months to 30 April following the collapse of rival Comet.

About a third of Comet’s £1bn sales were up swept by Dixons, which expected pre-tax profit for the year to be between £75-85m.
