Apprentice teams fired with enthusiasm

Teams from Carter Jonas and solicitors Withy King went head-to-head in a Retail Apprentice challenge to raise money for Helen & Douglas House.

The teams took over the charity’s Summertown shop, each with the objective of raising more money than
the other, as well as raising awareness of the charitable cause.

The teams collectively raised more than £2,000 from sales in the store, at a pop-up café and tombola, with Carter Jonas just coming out on top.

Nevertheless, both teams were “hired”, as Lord Sugar would put it, and takings at the charity shop were double its previous highest ever total.

Lesley Gorton from Helen & Douglas House said the teams “showed incredible enthusiasm and creative flair”.
