Forshaw plans to convert Devon prison

Forshaw Land has unveiled plans to covert a former Devon prison into a £30m student accommodation scheme.

The proposal for the Greenbank Prison site in Plymouth comprises a 64-bed Hattrell DS One-designed scheme and a gym.

The Grade II listed Victorian building has been vacant since 1997 after serving as a police headquarters, a court house and a prison. Subject to consent, construction would start in late 2013 with completion in July 2014.
