Financial and legal agreements for a £240m mixed-use health campus in Watford have been completed.
The deal has been agreed with Kier Property, Watford borough council and West Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
Plans for the 65-acre site on the Cardiff Road industrial estate include 650 homes and new hospital facilities. A more detailed masterplan will now be drawn up.
The campus will be delivered over the next 20 years through a joint venture called Local Asset Backed Vehicle.
Nigel Turner, managing director at Kier Property, said: “We are delighted to officially mark the start of our long-term relationship with Watford.
“Over the past few months we have built strong working relationships with both the council and the trust, and we are confident that our combined efforts will deliver a first-class scheme.”
