House builder Stewart Milne Group has hired Barratt Development’s Jim Fitzsimons as project director for its 408-acre scheme near Aberdeen.
Fitzsimons will head the Countesswells scheme to the west of Aberdeen, which has been identified in Aberdeen council’s local development plan.
The project comprises 3,000 new homes, schools, shops and a health centre.
The scheme will be phased in over a 15-year period.
Fitzsimons was previously involved in major regeneration projects with Barratt including the £500m redevelopment of the former Ravenscraig steelworks in Motherwell.
