AbbVie signs in Maidenhead

Pharmaceutical company AbbVie has signed an eight-year lease for new offices at Terrace Hill Group’s Quantum scheme in Berkshire.

The firm has taken 13,000 sq ft of space at the Maidenhead development, paying £24 per sq ft.

The letting means the 123,500 sq ft grade-A scheme is now circa 90% let.

Philip Leech, chief executive of Terrace Hill, said: “This letting is indicative of the early stages of pick-up that we are currently seeing in some regional office markets. It follows a challenging few years in the Thames Valley region and we are cautiously confident that this trend will continue and help drive further lettings both at this site, and at our other regional assets.”

Parkinson Brown and Jones Lang LaSalle advised Terrace Hill; Cyril Leonard represented AbbVie.
