Aviva looks to spruce up Notts mall

Aviva Investors is looking to reposition one of Nottingham’s best-known city centre mixed-use schemes.

Nottingham-based Innes England and London-based niche retail practice Douglas Stevens have replaced Jones Lang LaSalle as letting agents on the 190,000 sq ft mixed-use Trinity Place .

Circa 40,000 sq ft of space has never been used and remains at shell and core stage.

In a bid to boost lettings at the six-year-old scheme, Aviva is preparing to launch 20,000 sq ft of the empty space as new offices within the next month.

Deloitte Real Estate – which has a 20,000 sq ft office requirement for the city – is believed to have already shown interest.

Aviva is targeting value and fashion retailers for the remaining half of the shell and core space.

Developed in 2007, the scheme is situated to the north of Nottingham’s principal shopping area, Clumber Street, between the Victoria Centre and the Cornerhouse leisure hub. It has a prime position opposite John Lewis.

The scheme also comprises a 450-space multi-storey car park and student accommodation with 700 flats.
