Plans have been approved for a £280m motorsport-led regeneration project in the heart of the South Wales valleys.
The Heads of the Valleys Development Corporation’s Circuit of Wales scheme ?for just north of Ebbw Vale was approved by Blaenau Gwent county borough council.
The plans, ?co-ordinated by Powell Dobson Urbanists, include a 3.5-mile international-specification motor racing circuit, a hotel, an office and shopping complex and a technology park.
The scheme, which is scheduled to complete in 2015-16, is expected to boost the economy by £50m pa.
