Proposals to redevelop the former Department for Work and Pensions offices in Chelmsford, Essex, have been given the green light.
Chelmsford city council has backed Telereal Trillium’s plans for a 45-home scheme, as well as an education centre on a four-acre site on Beeches Road.
Savills has been instructed to sell the site, which was vacated by the Department for Work and Pensions in December 2012.
Telereal Trillium said: “We are pleased with the outcome of the recent planning committee meeting and look forward to progressing the scheme which will help meet the housing needs of the local area.”
Rapleys advised on planning.
